Many families and leaders at River Church came to know Christ or were discipled through college ministry themselves, so we understand both the opportunities and challenges of the college years. We’d love to help make River Church your home away from home while you’re at the University of Oklahoma.
College Bible Studies
Throughout the school year we offer several Bible studies designed specifically for University of Oklahoma students.
Current opportunities include:
- Girls Bible Study
- Guys Bible Study
- Sorority Bible Study – Thursdays 8PM, Upstairs Haystack Coffee Shop
- Fraternity Bible Study

These groups are designed to help students build meaningful friendships while learning how to study God’s Word and apply it to everyday life. We spend time discussing Scripture, praying together, asking honest questions, encouraging one another, and usually sharing a meal.

Do I have to attend the University of Oklahoma?
No. While many of our students attend the University of Oklahoma, anyone of college age is welcome to be part of our college ministry.
Where is River Church located?
River Church is located in Norman, Oklahoma, just minutes from the University of Oklahoma campus at 1203 Iowa Street.
Can I visit on a Sunday before joining a Bible study?
Absolutely. We’d love for you to visit a Sunday worship service and meet some of our college students before joining a Bible study.
What if I don’t know anyone?
You’re not alone! Every semester students visit River Church for the first time without knowing anyone. We’d love to introduce you to other students and help you get connected quickly. You can let us know you are coming here and we’ll make sure one of our college students can meet you and sit with you!
