Location of River Church
River Church is located at 1203 Iowa Street, Norman OK, just north of Norman High School, a few minutes from the University of Oklahoma campus, Downtown Norman, and Interstate 35.
What should I expect?
Our main entrance is on the north end of the building. As you enter, a smiling face will be there to greet you! As our service begins, we have an engaging time of worship music, hear a message of hope and truth from the Bible, and enjoy hanging out and talking together after the service ends. Our Sunday service lasts 1 hour and 15 minutes.
Is there a Kid’s Ministry?
Yes! We have SPLASH Kids Ministry happening during both thw 9 AM and 10:45 AM services. We use a check-in and pick-up system at River Church for kids. Simply find the kiosk down our main hallway to begin the process of checking in your child, and one of our volunteers will help direct you the the right classroom for your child.
What should I wear?
River Church is a casual, authentic environment. You can wear jeans and a t-shirt or your Sunday best. Most of us dress for comfort. We want you to feel comfortable, too.
Where to Park
We have main parking lots on the north and west ends of our building. There is a grass lot available across Dakota Street, and overflow parking in the La Baguette parking lot north of the grass lot (it’s a short 1 minute walk down the sidewalk to the church!) There is also parking available south of River Church at the old Driver License Station. The map below should help!

Do I need to dress up?
Not at all! At River Church, you’ll find people wearing everything from jeans and a t-shirt to their Sunday best. We want you to dress comfortably and come as you are. We care much more about authenticity than trying to impress with outward appearance.

Where should I park?
We have several convenient parking options available each Sunday. Our main paved parking lots are located on the north and west sides of the building. If those fill up, you’ll find additional parking in the grass lot across Dakota Street, overflow parking in the La Baguette parking lot just north of the grass lot (about a one-minute walk), and additional parking at the former Driver License Station just south of the church.
Is River Church near the University of Oklahoma?
Yes! River Church is only about a five-minute drive from the University of Oklahoma campus. Many students from the University of Oklahoma call River Church home. If you’re looking for a church near OU or are new to Norman for college, we’d love to help you get connected.
Do you have coffee?
Absolutely! We serve fresh, complimentary coffee every Sunday morning, brewed from beans supplied by local coffee suppliers. Grab a cup before the service and stick around afterward to meet some new people.
Are your services livestreamed?
Yes! Every Sunday service is livestreamed on our YouTube channel HERE, so you can join us online if you’re traveling, unable to attend in person, or want to watch a previous message.
How early should I arrive?
Arriving about 10 minutes before the service begins is usually plenty of time to find parking and get settled. If you don’t have young children, we’d appreciate you using the overflow grass lot or the La Baguette parking lot. This helps keep our closest parking spaces available for families with young kids, senior adults, and guests who may need them most.
How long is a Sunday service?
Our Sunday worship services typically last about 1 hour and 15 minutes.
Is there a college ministry?
Yes! We love college students. River Church has a thriving college ministry with a dedicated college pastor, student leaders, Bible studies, worship nights, discipleship groups, hangouts, and other events throughout the semester. If you’re a student at the University of Oklahoma or another nearby school, we’d love to help you get connected.

Do you have Bible studies?
Yes! Throughout the week, people from River Church gather in Community Groups that meet in homes across Norman. These groups are a great place to study the Bible, build meaningful friendships, pray together, and grow in your faith.

Is the building accessible?
Yes. River Church is fully accessible. We have designated handicap parking, no stairs at the main entrances, and all of our ministries and gathering spaces are located on the first floor, making the building easy to navigate for everyone.
