Our Vision

River Church was born out of a vision to see a Baptist church developed that focuses on the ever growing number of young adults who live, study and work in Norman. We are determined to ‘’really matter” to this largest segment of our community.

Here is what this means for us.

We matter...by leading out in ministry to young adults
River Church specializes is addressing the unique challenges facing young adults in Norman. We concentrate on making the gospel understandable to the disinterested, to making the Christian journey conceivable to the newly interested, and the Bible clear and doable for both.

We matter...by loving the city we live in
River Church looks for tangible ways to express love through service to the needs in our community. At present our focus is on serving the unique challenges of a selected elementary school and the families in that district.

We matter...as we excel in leadership development
River Church specializes in helping aspiring leaders grow up into that responsibility and succeed in it. We have a plan and growing array of resources to help young adults mature in leadership in the church, their fields of endeavor and their private lives.

We matter...as we multiply ourselves throughout the world
River Church takes seriously our opportunity to send individuals and teams throughout the nation and world to reproduce love for Christ. We have a growing number of members serving in global projects throughout the earth.
