Community Groups

Community Groups are small groups that meet during the week in homes. Groups have various purposes, the most important being creating a sense of family and an environment to help you grow in your Christian journey.

Sunday Nights: Celebration

River Church assembles once a week on Sunday nights (6:00-7:15PM) for worship and teaching. We call this Celebration. Our worship style is informal and authentic. The teaching is biblically based and clearly, practically presented.

River Kids

River Church wants your family to grow in Christ. We offer a children ministry (much like Sunday School) that is concurrent with Celebration. This gives you freedom to be involved in the worship event while your children enjoy an event specifically for them.

We Love Norman

River takes the idea – We Love Norman – seriously! Our first step in this direction has been to adopt Jefferson Elementary School and to partner with them to make their school the most successful school possible.

Women’s Ministry: Imprints

Imprints is a ministry specifically designed for the women of River and the women of Norman. We desire to minister to the whole woman by meeting not only her spiritual needs, but her relational needs and practical needs.

One of the ways we are currently doing this, is by hosting events called Among Friends where we bring in someone to speak on everyday issues women face. In the past we have covered topics such as “Big Gifts for Small Wallets”, “How to Effectively Use Coupons” and “Personalities: How to Work With Others”.
